A few answers to help you get back to your morning.

How does the alarm follow sunrise?

Choose a city or use your current location, then set your alarm before, at, or after sunrise. Sunrise calculates each day’s time on your iPhone for that place and its time zone, including daylight-saving changes. Update your selected city when you travel.

Does Sunrise need to stay open?

iOS delivers scheduled alarms while the app is closed. Sunrise schedules ahead and requests background opportunities to renew them. Open the app occasionally so it can keep the schedule up to date, especially after changing your location or permissions.

How do I stop the alarm completely?

Open Sunrise and tap “I’m awake.” Until you confirm, follow-up alarms can ring at your selected snooze interval. Confirming stops that morning’s follow-ups and keeps future mornings scheduled.

My alarm didn’t ring. What should I check?

Open Sunrise and check that the alarm is on, your city and next wake-up time are correct, and the next alarm wasn’t skipped. In iPhone Settings, check that Sunrise has alarm permission. If it still isn’t working, email your iPhone model, iOS version, and what happened. Include only details you’re comfortable sharing.

How do I manage or restore my subscription?

Use Settings → Subscription in Sunrise, or manage subscriptions with Apple. You can also use Restore Purchases at the bottom of the paywall with the Apple Account used to purchase. Monthly has no free trial. The yearly plan offers a three-day trial when Apple determines you’re eligible. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel a subscription.

Can I correct a sunrise I logged?

Yes. Select a date in the Journal calendar to add or remove a check-in. Your journal is stored on your iPhone. Deleting the app removes local journal data; offloading preserves it, and your device backups may retain copies.
